We recently undertook a contract refurbishing jet drives and associated marine-grade components as part of a larger MOD-approved project.
The scope of works included blasting & coating, with all components finished using a multi-coat marine protection system designed for long-term service in harsh environments.
Upon arrival, the components were prepared and coated with an MOD-approved Aluminium Pure Epoxy primer, providing excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion.
All submerged areas were then treated with a two-pack modified epoxy tie coat, before being finished with a high-performance, brightly coloured antifouling coating suitable for continuous immersion.
Non-submerged areas were coated with a low-VOC, high-performance two-pack acrylic finish, delivering durability while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
The complete coating scheme is fully MOD approved and suitable for demanding marine applications, ensuring long-lasting protection, consistent coverage, and reliable performance in service.
